Malayalam film Janaki Jaane is all set to release on a streaming platform. The Aniesh Upaasana directorial, starring Saiju Kurup, Navya Nair, Johny Antony, Sharafudeen, Kottayam Nazeer, Anarkali Marikar, George Kora, Sminu Sijo, Pramod Veliyanadu, James, Eliya, Jordi Poonjar, Shylaja Sreedharan, Vidhya Vijayakumar, Anjali Sathyanath, Sathi Premji and Anwar Shereef, will start streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from July 11.
Aniesh took to his Instagram stories to share the OTT release date of Janaki Jaane.
Janaki Jaane is about the problems that arise due to Janaki’s (Navya) fear of the dark and being alone in open or confined spaces and how she overcomes it with the help of her husband and friends. It opened on May 12, 2023 to mixed reviews. While some critics said the movie offers nothing new, others remarked that it is a lost opportunity.
Janaki Jaane marked the second collaboration of Saiju Kurup and Navya Nair after 2022 film Oruthee.
