Kerala Crime Files team is elated with positive response to web series

Rahul Riji Nair of First Print Studios, who bankrolled Kerala Crime Files, is elated with the positive response to the Malayalam web series, which premiered on June 23 on streaming giant Disney Plus Hotstar.

Rahul took to Instagram and wrote, “Overwhelmed by all the reviews and messages pouring in. We couldn’t have asked for a better digital debut! Keep the love flowing ❤️.”

Kerala Crime Files is First Print Studios and Disney Plus Hotstar’s first original Malyalam web series.

Rahul Riji Nair recently also thanked Kerela Crime Files director Ahammed Khabeer. His post on Instagram read, “For your tireless passion, for your extraordinary commitment, for the marathon hard work and for the invaluable learning that you have gifted me a thank you would not sound just right. The last one year has been a journey to remember and I am glad I took it on with you. Please know that you will always have a special place in my heart forever. You deserve this success and beyond 🤗❤️.”

In another post, Rahul wrote, “When we were entrusted with the opportunity to create the first Malayalam Web Series for Disney+ Hotstar, it was not just a moment of great pride but also a greater responsibility. We wanted to try and push the envelope and be benchmarked with the best of Indian Web Series in terms of its production value and quality. This was made possible with the tireless efforts of @ahammed_khabeer and the brilliant crew led by him. Each and every one of them has given this show their heart and soul and thanking them in words would be quite difficult. For the memories and the learning, this will always remain one special journey.”

Kerala Crime Files revolves around the investigation by the local police into the murder of a sex worker in a lodge in Kochi. The web series stars Aju Varghese, Lal, Zhinz Shan, Navas Vallikkunnu, Sanju Sanichen and Devaki Rajendran among others.
